James Morgan is San Diego’s only artist to chart across smooth jazz, jazz, and rock genres. With five critically acclaimed albums and four consecutive San Diego Music Award nominations for Best Jazz Album (2021–2024), Morgan brings a level of artistry and professionalism that ensures your event sounds as unforgettable as it feels. His 2023 album Groovin Smooth landed at #73 on the Smooth Jazz Global Year-End Top 100, and his newest release, A Soul in Time, is on the 2025 Grammy ballot for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, and James Morgan won the 2025 InterContinental Music Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Song, with "A Feather's Touch" from his "A Soul in Time" EP.

As the founder and guitarist behind James Morgan Jazz and the Ghost Jazz Trio,  James has been delivering unforgettable live performances since 2017.
