James Morgan is San Diego’s only artist to chart across smooth jazz, jazz, and rock genres. With five critically acclaimed albums and four consecutive San Diego Music Award nominations for Best Jazz Album (2021–2024), Morgan brings a level of artistry and professionalism that ensures your event sounds as unforgettable as it feels. His 2023 album Groovin Smooth landed at #73 on the Smooth Jazz Global Year-End Top 100, and his acclaimed release A Soul in Time was recognized on the 67th GRAMMY® Awards ballot for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. In 2025, Morgan won the InterContinental Music Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Song for “A Feather’s Touch.”
